In this project, we worked on the visualization of sounds. The soundtrack "Cure Aging" by Epic Mountain serves as background music and is used for an explanatory video by Kurzgesagt. Detached from the explanatory video and the associations, we reinterpreted and visualized the song in After Effects.

The first steps of the visualization were a detailed and systematic analysis of the individual instruments. For this, we used methods such as semantic differentials, personal scores and morphological boxes. We broke down the song into its separate parts and defined a hierarchy of instruments.

The instruments include Sparkling, Space piano, Guitar string and Lifting, Percussion, Wabern and a Stage.

We chose the additive method, which means the stage always stays the same and the instruments perform one after the other or simultaneously.

To represent our visualization, we created fictitious event posters. In this case for a light show called Cure Aging with concert of Epic Mountain at the Light Festival Lucerne on 1 Febrary 2022 at 9pm
